As a Catholic parish, our primary purpose is to be a community of missionary disciples who live out the universal mission of the Church on a local level.
This involves several key, interconnected aspects:
- Encountering God and Celebrating Sacraments during the week and in the joyful Sunday celebration;
- A Foundation of Prayer both personal and communal conscious of the importance to be guided by the Holy Spirit;
- Faith Formation and providing ongoing formation fol all ages, from children's religious education to adult studies.
Mission and Outreach
Evangelization: The most fundamental and urgent mission of our parish is evangelization—inviting others to know and follow Jesus Christ through word and deed. This means shifting from a "maintenance mentality" to a missionary one, actively reaching out to the surrounding community and those who are on the fringes.
- Witnessing through Action: our parish must give witness to Christ's compassion through practical action, such as works of mercy and social justice initiatives, demonstrating the transformative power of the Gospel in action.
- Discipleship: our goal is to move beyond simply having "members" to forming intentional disciples who have made a conscious decision to put Jesus at the center of their lives and are equipped to share their faith with other
- Ultimately, what is important for our parish is to be a place where people encounter the living God, are formed in faith and community, and are sent forth to share God's love with the world.
